Transplantation
We are determined to reduce the environmental impact of our projects by transplanting trees instead of cutting them down.
At Vianaar, we are conscious of the impact our projects have on our surroundings and we strive to restore balance in nature. Our spaces are designed around the mature trees in the properties to keep them intact. The younger ones that need to be moved are carefully transplanted in the vicinity to give them the best chance at survival.
We take the time to study and understand each tree that we move. The process of transplantation is long and meticulous and we don’t believe in rushing it. It starts with studying each tree and preparing it for transplanting, ending only after it has completely settled in its new home.
Transplantation is only one of our endeavours to minimise the environmental stress caused by real estate development.
Plantation Drive
Tree plantation drives help combat environmental issues like soil erosion, pollution, and rising temperatures.
Over the last 12 years, we have successfully planted over 17 thousand trees all over the country in partnership with NGOs like Grow Trees and Gaia Foundation.
Closer to home, we consult experts around Goa to choose trees best suited to the landscapes around us. In and around Assagao, a beautiful Goan village, we have collaborated with Gaia Foundation to plant over 3000 trees through our plantation drives.
We recognise the effects of unplanned and haphazard tree plantation and strive to ensure that the trees we plant are indigenous species that will only enhance the biodiversity of the area and contribute to the revival of the ecosystem. Tree plantation drives are not a one-stop solution to our environmental issues, but rather one mindful step in the right direction.
Indigenous Trees
Native species of trees around our homes give local wildlife a place to survive and thrive.
When we say our homes are thoughtfully designed, we don’t just mean the interiors. Our architects pay close attention to the surroundings and landscape, designing spaces around the indigenous flora that grows here. We also plant local species that naturally thrive and don’t require any extra care, where butterflies, birds, and insects can find homes.
